Barringer's textbook earns its place by actually being concise and practical — the running Prime Adult Fitness example gives every concept a concrete anchor, which most competing texts fail to provide. Students writing a real business plan will find the PowerPoint scaffold and feasibility chapters immediately useful. The financial modeling depth is limited and used editions may be outdated, but as a coursework companion it delivers.
