Kennedy's Pulitzer-winning look at political courage is eloquent and still resonant, though its legacy comes with an asterisk — Ted Sorensen later acknowledged drafting much of the book himself. This edition is abridged and read by JFK Jr., with Caroline Kennedy narrating the introduction, a personal family reading rather than a polished professional performance, so temper expectations on production quality. It's worth the listen for the history, with that context in mind.
