Antonides was writing foundational behavioral economics before Kahneman and Thaler made the field famous, and that pioneering scope gives this textbook genuine historical value for economics students. For anyone outside that narrow academic audience, the density and dated research make it a harder sell than the modern behavioral economics books that have followed.
