The first comprehensive textual and archival study of Bradbury's full career, authored by the co-founder of the Center for Ray Bradbury Studies — this is serious, credible scholarship that fills a genuine gap. But 592 pages of Bakhtinian carnivalization theory and Freudian apparatus means it belongs exclusively in graduate seminars, and the Series+Adaptation catalog label is simply wrong for what this book is.
