Real Love in Marriage

Greg Baer · 2007

Greg Baer's unconditional-love framework gives couples a genuinely different lens on marital conflict — tracing anger back to childhood love deficits rather than blaming the spouse is a useful reframe — and the practical exercises give the theory real traction. The weakness is that the core ideas travel the same road as Bradshaw, Chopra, and Williamson without pushing much further, and readers who want explicit Christian grounding will find the secular-therapeutic frame thin, even with the separate Bible workbook available. Worth a look for the exercises, but not a first-pick for the shelf.
