A CPA walking you through 401(k)s, Social Security, assets, and medical insurance in one organized reference is exactly the kind of broad, trustworthy overview a lot of people need, and Simon & Schuster backing plus a later second edition tells me this one earned its keep. It won't go deep on any single topic, but as a starting map it's solid. Kitty Hendrix narrates the original edition — just make sure you're not accidentally grabbing the 2025 reissue with a different narrator if you want this exact version.
