Morgan Rice's Return delivers the fast-paced survival drama fans of the Invasion Chronicles are after, and the clean content relative to much YA sci-fi is a genuine plus. But entering at Book Four means a cold start for new readers, and characterization stays functional rather than memorable. A reliable series installment rather than a standout title.
