Duhigg is one of the best narrative-science writers working today, and this book translates genuinely interesting research on productivity into memorable stories about airline disasters, Broadway productions, and Google teams. The eight concepts do not form a tight unified system, and the how-to advice is buried in an appendix, but the reading experience is consistently engaging and the underlying research is solid. A worthwhile read for anyone who wants to understand productivity at a deeper level than most self-help books go.
