Self-help ✦ Penny’s Take
Stress Control for Peace of Mind
Linda Wasmer Andrews · 2005
58/100
👎 Skip It
Linda Wasmer Andrews is a credentialed health writer and the coverage here is genuinely broad — breathing, meditation, yoga, cognitive reframing, time planning — but breadth is also the problem: 160 pages across that many techniques means each one gets a paragraph or two. There's nothing wrong with this book, but there's nothing that distinguishes it from a dozen others in the same Barnes & Noble health series. Readers with a specific technique in mind will do better with a dedicated book on that topic.
✦ Penny’s Take — this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read — not a page-by-page personal one. The gold ✓ Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
