👎 Skip It
Book twenty-four of a thirty-four-book 1990s YA series is exactly what it sounds like — comfortable formula for devoted fans, a confusing entry point for everyone else. The dream-sequence device is mildly clever, but the structure is predictable and the cultural references are dated. Existing Sunset Island devotees will enjoy it; new readers have no reason to start here.
