Sweet Gratitude

The recipes themselves are genuinely creative — raw vegan tiramisu and pomegranate fig tart, well-tested and well-photographed by two working dessert chefs. Worth knowing, though: the restaurant behind both authors, Café Gratitude, has documented ties to Landmark Forum, a human-potential seminar group with a controversial reputation, which is a business-culture concern rather than anything in the recipes themselves. If you just want a good raw-dessert cookbook it delivers; if you're looking for real reflection on gratitude, this isn't that.
✦ Penny’s Take — this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read — not a page-by-page personal one. The gold ✓ Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
⚠ Parent note — our reviewers flagged: Authors are dessert chefs at Café Gratitude, a restaurant chain with reported ties to Landmark Forum, a controversial human-potential seminar organization; this concerns the restaurant's business culture, not the cookbook's content. We still scored it 63; these are context for your family, not an automatic skip.
