Techniques of Grief Therapy

Robert A. Neimeyer · 2016
83/100
👍 Worth It

Robert Neimeyer and his 59 contributing clinicians have built the closest thing grief therapy has to a comprehensive practice handbook — the case-vignette format for each technique makes it immediately applicable in clinical work, and the added reproducible assessment scales in this volume are a meaningful upgrade over the first edition. Writing quality is uneven across 59 contributors, as it always is in edited volumes, but the breadth of loss types and intervention approaches covered is extraordinary. Essential for grief counselors and therapists; entirely unsuitable for bereaved lay readers.
