Thankful

Eileen Spinelli's community-helpers gratitude tour is gentle and rhyming and completely harmless, and Kirkus was right to call it 'low-key.' The two child characters weaving through different professions is a charming structural idea, but it stays firmly in mood-piece territory rather than building toward anything. Fine for a classroom gratitude unit, but families with stronger options in the category can pass.
