Mel Robbins' countdown tool is real and useful — the neuroscience framing gives it enough credibility to stick, and the personal storytelling makes for an engaging listen or read. The problem is that the core idea is a chapter's worth of content stretched to book length, padded heavily with reader testimonials that read more like testimonials at a rally than evidence. Worth knowing the rule; less worth reading the whole book.
