The LaHayes did something genuinely significant in 1976: they gave evangelical Christians permission to talk openly about sexual satisfaction within marriage, and that historical contribution is real. But the 1998 revision did not fully address the dated gender dynamics, and some of the medical information is now several decades behind current understanding. For married Christian couples today, more current resources exist that cover the same biblical grounding with updated science and healthier relational framing. Worth knowing about; harder to recommend as a first choice.
