The LaHayes get refreshingly candid about the parts of midlife intimacy most Christian marriage books skip - menopause, ED, cancer, the whole real deal - which is genuinely useful ground to cover. But the survey data and cultural touchstones feel stuck in its early-2000s original edition, and it's frank enough that I'd call it private-listening material for a married couple rather than a casual pick; Robertson Dean is a decorated narrator generally, but nothing here tells me how this particular script lands.
