Lallo sticks the landing on a self-published epic fantasy trilogy, delivering an emotionally satisfying conclusion with genuine anti-war conviction at its core. It is accessible enough for committed teen readers but rewarding for adults too. The pacing wobbles in places, and you really do need to start with Book One, but fans who have made it this far will not be disappointed.
