Self-help ✦ Penny’s Take
The Beauty and Glory of Christian Living
Joel R. Beeke · 2014
This Reformed conference volume covers the full arc of the Christian life with genuine pastoral seriousness — from union with Christ through sanctification, family, work, and ultimately death — and the caliber of contributors (Mohler-adjacent Reformed scholars) keeps the theological floor high throughout. The conference-address format does produce uneven depth and some repetition, and readers outside the Reformed tradition may find the perspective narrower than they would like. But for its intended audience, this is substantive and worth the time.
