The Case of the Singing Sea Dragons

A Simon & Schuster early chapter-book mystery that does what the format requires — accessible vocabulary, familiar characters, low-stakes adventure — without distinguishing itself in a crowded field. It is perfectly competent for reluctant readers in grades 2–4, and the series has a presence on school library lists, but nothing in the dossier suggests it rises above the baseline for the genre. Solid but forgettable.
