Series β¦ Penny’s Take
The Cat, the Collector and the Killer

π Worth It
A warm, dependable series closer from a New York Times bestselling author. Jillian and Tom are a comfortable pair, the cat-rescue subplot adds genuine heart, and the vulnerable elderly woman at the center of the mystery is a more sympathetic hook than the genre usually delivers. If you have not read the earlier Cats in Trouble books, you may find the emotional payoff thinner than the series fans who were waiting for this one β but it is still a satisfying cozy read.
β¦ Penny’s Take β this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read β not a page-by-page personal one. The gold β Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
