Dreikurs's framework for understanding why children misbehave — attention, power, revenge, inadequacy — is one of the genuinely useful ideas in parenting psychology, and this book communicates it clearly enough that parents can actually apply it. The democratic parenting model has aged better than many mid-century approaches, though the 1979 language and family examples show their era. Worth reading for the Adlerian lens alone, but pair it with something more current.
