Four editions from a University of Indianapolis law professor in Nolo's plain-language tradition — that's a reliable foundation. The problem is the 2009 publication date puts the estate tax sections well before the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and the CD-ROM of legal forms is now a relic. It's still a useful orientation to the concepts, but anyone making actual estate decisions needs a current edition or a current attorney.
