Series β¦ Penny’s Take
The Complete Short Stories by Virginia Woolf

π Worth It
Woolf's shorter fiction is where you can watch one of the twentieth century's greatest prose experimentalists work out how to be herself, and Susan Dick's scholarly chronological arrangement makes the development arc visible and meaningful. The pieces vary widely in polish β some are finished stories, some are sketches, some are pure mood β but that range is part of the point. This is not the place to start with Woolf, but for readers already invested in her work it is essential.
