If you are already an Agatha Raisin devotee you will finish this and enjoy yourself, but Kirkus and Publishers Weekly both put their fingers on something real — the misunderstanding-as-plot-device engine is creaking here, and the prose is uneven enough that it would not be the place to start. A comfortable read for existing fans, a weak entry point for newcomers.
