Self-help β¦ Penny’s Take
The Egyptian Conception of Immortality
George Andrew Reisner Β· 2016
72/100
π Worth It
Reisner was among the foremost Egyptologists of his era, and this Harvard lecture traces the evolution of Egyptian afterlife beliefs from burial customs through the New Kingdom with the authority of someone who had actually excavated the sites. It is dated β a century of scholarship has updated many of his conclusions β and brief by design, but as a concise, free, public-domain starting point for understanding Egyptian religion it remains a sound and honest read.
