Gitman and McDaniel wrote an accessible, well-structured introductory business survey that instructors genuinely liked for its clear framing of business as a human-driven, evolving system. The problem is straightforward: the 2008 edition predates the 2008 financial crisis aftermath, the smartphone economy, social media marketing, and the gig economy β all foundational to how business works today. For a course requiring current examples and data, this edition can't carry the load on its own.
