The International Bank of Bob
Bob Harris · 2014
82/100
👍 Worth It
Bob Harris pulls off a genuinely difficult balancing act — luxury travel reporter by day, microfinance champion by heart — and the result is funny, warm, and quietly illuminating about global economic inequality. Meeting the Kiva borrowers in person grounds what could have been an abstract economics lesson in real, memorable human lives. The footnoting can disrupt the flow, but this is one of the better books at making you want to actually do something after you finish it.
