The Killer Angels
Michael Shaara · 1975
88/100
👍 Worth It
This is historical fiction done right — Shaara puts you inside the heads of the real generals at Gettysburg without sacrificing the facts, and it's no accident West Point assigns it. The battlefield violence is real but not gratuitous, which makes this one of the rare war novels I'd comfortably hand to a teenager studying the era. A genuine standout in this batch.
