McCay's 1966 framework — treat time as a portfolio to invest, not just hours to fill — was ahead of its time and genuinely influenced the genre. But the workplace references are so dated they create friction on almost every page, and modern readers have GTD, Deep Work, and Atomic Habits to choose from. Worth a look for productivity history buffs, but it's not the book to hand someone today.
