This 24-page classroom reader does its simple job cleanly — photographs, easy text, curriculum alignment — but the underlying USDA MyPyramid framework it references has been replaced by MyPlate, which means the nutritional guidance is now dated. As a standalone home purchase it offers very little depth even for its youngest readers. Best suited as a school or library supplement where the teacher can provide context.
