Larson's 1912 New Thought classic is a historically significant text in the positive-thinking lineage — lyrical, warmly structured, and genuinely uplifting for readers already drawn to that tradition. The metaphysical framework centers on the divinity of human consciousness, which places it well outside orthodox Christian or other Abrahamic traditions, and the Edwardian prose can feel remote. A self-selecting audience will find it beautiful; everyone else may find the theological ground unfamiliar.
