The Secret of Secrets: A Novel
Dan Brown Β· 2025
π Narrated by Paul Michael (Random House Audio), the established narrator of the Robert Langdon series
Langdon's back chasing a scientist and her research into consciousness through Prague, and it moves fast, but plenty of critics felt like they'd read this puzzle-box before, and the "noetic science" hook is a hard sell for some. The narration by Paul Michael is clean and well-paced if you're already invested in the series, but the story itself doesn't quite earn a strong recommendation on its own merits.
β¦ Penny’s Take β this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read β not a page-by-page personal one. The gold β Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
π Narration: good Paul Michael, the series' established narrator, praised for measured pacing, crisp enunciation, and clear production quality.
