Anne Ursu's sardonic narrative voice and Greek-mythology reimagining are genuinely fun, and Charlotte is a more interesting protagonist than the genre usually offers — she's awkward and smart rather than exceptional. This one gets overshadowed by Percy Jackson commercially, but it deserves to sit alongside it. A strong, clean middle-grade adventure for myth-loving kids.
