Self-help β¦ Penny’s Take
The Thankful Book
Todd Parr Β· 2019
80/100
π Worth It
Todd Parr's bold, crayon-bright art and his short declarative sentences make gratitude feel like something a three-year-old can actually grasp and feel, not just recite β and that is harder to pull off than it looks. The Washington Post praise is warranted; this is joyful in the right way. The list format means there is no story to follow, which limits how long it holds a child's attention as they grow, but for preschool and early kindergarten it earns its place on the shelf.
