The Wine Wars

The Mondavi-Aniane affair is a rich case study, and Torrès uses it skillfully to illuminate a real tension between globalization's homogenizing force and place-rooted identity. A French business school perspective on American corporate overreach in French wine country is a genuinely interesting angle. But the case is now two decades old, mainstream critical coverage is thin, and the audience is narrow enough that most general readers will find better globalization writing elsewhere.
