DiVanna asks the right question — does technology shape society or vice versa — and the historical framing is more thoughtful than most business-strategy books of its era. The problem is that a 2002 book about technology strategy is now a period piece, and the limited critical footprint suggests it never broke through to the audience it deserved even when current. Worth a library browse if you are interested in the philosophy of technology; hard to recommend as a purchase.
