Self-help β¦ Penny’s Take
Under Pressure
Lisa Damour Β· 2020
82/100
π Worth It
Lisa Damour does something genuinely useful here: she reframes anxiety for girls not as a disorder to be eliminated but as a signal worth understanding, and she backs every chapter with clinical research. Parents of daughters will find it practical and compassionate; older teen girls will find it validating. The exclusive focus on girls is a real limit, but within that scope it's one of the strongest parenting-and-adolescent-psychology books available.
