Self-help ✦ Penny’s Take

👍 Worth It
Brennan Spiegel writes from the inside — his own clinical research at Cedars-Sinai — and it shows: the patient case studies are grounded and specific, the neuroscience is serious, and Wired's recognition as one of 2020's top science books is well-earned. The field moves fast enough that some clinical examples are already showing their age, and the enthusiasm for VR occasionally tips from advocacy over balanced assessment. Still one of the best introductions to therapeutic VR available for a general reader.
