Iacocca's Nine Cs framework is genuinely useful and his storytelling voice has real fire, but the book's political evaluations of Bush-era governance and 2008 candidates aged quickly and now read as a period document more than a leadership manual. Reviewers at the time found it thinner than his landmark autobiography, and that gap has only widened. Worth a read if you're specifically interested in Iacocca's voice or early-2000s business culture, but not the leadership book to reach for today.
