π Worth It
Colleen Coble's debut pulls off something that many inspirational romances don't: the frontier setting feels genuinely inhabited rather than decorative, and the faith threads are woven in rather than bolted on. The central misunderstanding that drives the plot can strain credibility, and the characterization is less layered than her later work, but Romantic Times had it right β she knows what her readers want and she delivers.
