Writing a Romantic Novel

Baker's guide offered genuine step-by-step value for aspiring romance writers in the late 1990s, and the practitioner insights from working novelists give it a lived-in quality that purely theoretical craft guides lack. The problem is that every chapter touching on research, publishing, and market expectations is now functionally obsolete. A 2024 writer is better served by a current craft guide.
