McBratney and Jeram know exactly who this book is for — the toddler lying awake wondering if Mum loves the baby more — and they address that fear directly, gently, and memorably in just a few pages. It is thinner on story than on emotional function, but for its specific job of bedtime reassurance about sibling equality it is reliably effective, and Jeram's watercolours make every page a pleasure to sit with. A worthy companion to 'Guess How Much I Love You' for families adding a second child.
