A Zeal of Zebras

Woop Studios — the design studio behind Harry Potter film graphics — brought genuine professional craft to what could have been a routine alphabet book, and the result shows. Each double-page spread pairs a collective noun (a shiver of sharks, an embarrassment of pandas, a galaxy of starfish) with two animal facts and a full-page illustration rendered in Photoshop with the richly textured look of vintage movie posters. Kirkus called it 'fabulously fascinating'; Kiss the Book designated it 'Essential.' The honest caveat is that collective nouns are genuinely niche vocabulary — some entries will stump literate adults, not just children — and the animal facts are brief enough that curious older children will want more. It is also likely priced as a premium object. For what it is, though — an alphabet book that doubles as a frameable art collection — it's one of the best of its kind.
