Angel
Angel: Endangered Species drops fans directly into the world of the WB series, with Faith hunted in prison by a vampire named Marianna and Angel's team racing to a remote island to save her. Co-author Nancy Holder is one of the most reliable Buffyverse novelists, and the characterization stays faithful to the source. A subplot about a potential cure for vampirism adds genuine moral weight. That said, this book is squarely for existing fans of the television franchise β it expects familiarity with the characters and mythology and makes no effort to onboard newcomers. Faith-sensitive families should know this universe runs on occult and supernatural horror content, consistent with the show's TV-14 rating. For the teen and adult franchise audience it was written for, Worth It.
