Price had a gift for embedding genuine wildlife detail inside classic adventure plotting, and the Arctic setting gives this concluding volume a vivid, distinctive feel. It's a satisfying send-off for a series that introduced generations of reluctant readers to books. The honest caveat: mid-century gender conventions (the brothers-only structure) feel dated, and the animal-capture premise sits less comfortably with modern conservation values than it once did. Neither concern undermines the adventure, but both are worth naming for parents and educators choosing it today.
