The themes here — sisterhood, nature, imagination, gentle fantasy — are exactly right for ages 4 to 8, and a nature photographer as author brings an authenticity to the outdoor settings. The problem is that self-publishing with no editorial vetting and essentially no public reception means Penny cannot confirm the execution matches the concept. A sweet idea that might be wonderful, but the evidence isn't there yet.
