This one earns its praise: a wordless story that turns childhood anxiety into small grey monsters kids will actually recognize, then lets a little girl choose bravery on her own terms. Kirkus wasn't wrong to call it moving, and it rewards a slow read where you and your kid talk through what Molly's feeling on each page. One of the strongest, most honest books in this batch.
