The humor-first approach to pandemic-era school anxiety is the right instinct, and Theo is a likable guide through a genuinely unsettling scenario. The problem is that no independent critical review record exists and the pandemic specificity will date the book quickly as that cohort of children moves on. It may have real value for a child still processing those years, but without critical vetting it is hard to put above better-reviewed options on resilience and change.
