As a late-1980s Sesame Street tie-in, this book did exactly what it was designed to do — introduce transportation concepts to very young children through beloved characters in a colorful, trusted format. The problem is that it is now out of print, visually dated, and has essentially no standalone narrative. It functions more as a collectible for Sesame Street enthusiasts than a reading experience a child today would find compelling alongside modern picture books.
