Catch Me If You Can!

👍 Worth It

A small dinosaur gets chased by an enormous one — but she isn't scared, because that big dinosaur is her grandfather. Bernard Most built a warm, clever twist into a very small package here, and it works. The fear-then-reassurance structure is exactly right for beginning readers, and the grandfather-grandchild bond gives the story genuine warmth beyond the chase. Simple vocabulary fits the Green Light Readers Level 2 designation, making it a genuine independent reading option for ages four to seven. The limitation is the format itself: at beginning-reader length, the narrative is slim, and once the twist lands, there isn't much more story to give. Still, for what it is — an early reader with a sweet surprise at the center — this delivers.
